Jambo, Rafiki!!! I am so glad to be back home!! I left for Nairobi, Kenya on Sunday, November 7. A team of 12 from my church went with two other churches to assist an orphanage with some major needs. We had an UNBELIEVABLE time!! I have close to 1,000 pictures and will be forced to narrow that down! It is going to be a great task for me to do that!! I think it would be best to break them up into several posts. I think I will start that post tomorrow. For now, here's a peek at my experiences:
The roof over the boy's dorm - FIRST PRIORITY!!
Meeting the Kenya's Kids for the first time.
Momma Paticia, Miriam and Faith greeting us on our first day.
Working on the roof with clouds looming behind.
Happy children!!!
Giving gifts to the kids. Much needed gifts!!
Freshening up the front of the orphanage with paint.
Me with a few of the girls at the orphanage.
More details and wonderful pictures to come!! What a lifechanging experience!!
